NASD Market Capitalisation Gains 1.41% to Close at N451b

Transactions closed positive this week on the trading floor of the NASD OTC Market as the major market metrics ended in green unlike last week, when they settled in the red territory.

Business Post reports that the NASD USI went up this Friday by 1.41 percent, closing at 665.79 points against 656.55 points last Friday.

Consequently, total market capitalisation gained 1.41 percent this week, finishing higher at N450.56 billion compared with N444.30 billion last Friday.

The positive movement was buoyed by gains recorded by Central Securities Clearing System, Industrial and General Insurance and Niger Delta Exploration & Production.

Central Securities Clearing System closed at N10.06k against N10 last session, while Industrial and General Insurance finish at 30k versus 6k last Friday, and Niger Delta Exploration & Production ended at N159 per share in contrast to N145 the previous session.

The five top participating stocks for the week by value were Anchoria Investment & Securities Limited (N15.1 million), Cordros Capital Limited (N13 million), Qualinvest Capital Limited (N12.4 million), Capital Bancorp (N8.4 million) and Tiddo Securities Limited (N4.5 million).

However, the five top participating stocks by volume were Cordros Capital Limited (1.3 million units), Qualinvest Capital Limited (1.2 million units), Adonai Stockbrokers Limited 0.706 million units), Anchoria Investment & Securities Limited (0.099 million units) and Capital Bancorp (0.055 million units).
