NASD Market Closes Positive by 3.4%

Transactions on the trading floor of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) OTC Securities Exchange Plc closed positive on Friday.

The alternative trading platform finished market activities on Friday, February 2, 2018 higher compared to last Friday.

Specifically, the Market Capitalization increased 3.4 percent this week, closing higher at N426.5 billion against N412.4 billion previously.

In addition, the NASD USI also increased by 3.4 percent this week, closing at 630.17 points, as against 609.44 points last Friday.

The NASD OTC Securities Exchange currently trades Equity and Bonds and of the 35 securities admitted to trade on the OTC Market, Central Securities Clearing System Plc led the market by volume and value.

Oil Market Dips on Profit Taking, High Rates Worries

During the trading session, Brent futures fell by $1.17 or 1.2 per cent to settle at $95.38 a barrel and the US West Texas Intermediate crude (WTI) declined by $1.97 or 2.1 per cent to close at $91.71 per barrel.
