NASD OTC Exchange Closes 0.35% Higher

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed the midweek session in green after it recorded a 0.35 per cent, with Aradel Holdings (NDEP) Plc gaining N20.75 to close at N395.00 per share compared with the previous trading session’s N374.25 per share.

This lifted the bourse’s market capitalisation by N3.77 billion in the midweek session by N1.086 trillion from the N1.082 trillion it finished on Tuesday and the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) improved by 2.71 points to end the day at 785.17 points as against the 782.45 points it recorded at the previous session.

During the trading day, there was a fall in the volume of securities traded by 11.5 per cent to 24,000 units from the 27,130 units transacted a day earlier, but the value of transactions increased by 237.3 per cent yesterday to N8.1 million from N2.4 million, and the number of deals declined by 45.5 per cent to six deals from the 11  deals carried out in the previous trading session.

Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc ended the day as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 1.1 billion units valued at N21.2 billion, Geo-Fluids was in second place with 631.0 units valued at N1.1 billion, while Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc was in third place with 610.7 million units valued at N48.4 million.

CSCS Plc also ended the trading session as the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 1.1 billion units worth N21.2 billion, VFD Group remained in second place with 26.4 million units valued at N5.9 billion, while FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc was in third place with 18.6 million units worth N1.3 billion.
