The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.2 per cent decline on Tuesday, December 19, with the value of the trading platform shrinking by N2.46 billion to N1.240 trillion from the N1.243 trillion it quoted in the previous session.
In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went down by 1.81 points at the close of transactions to 914.55 points from the 916.36 points recorded in the previous trading day.
The unlisted stock market turned red yesterday after it finished with three price decliners and one price advancer.
Acorn Petroleum Plc went down by 6 Kobo to close at 60 Kobo per share versus the 66 Kobo per share was it was traded a day earlier, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc depreciated by N1.32 to close the day at N74.68 per unit compared with Monday’s closing value of N76.00 per unit, and Geo-Fluids Plc recorded a 1 Kobo loss to settle at N2.64 per unit as agaimst the previous day’s to N2.65 per unit.
However, the share price in UBN Property Plc went down by 5 Kobo to close at N1.80 per share versus the previous day’s N1.75 per share.
Yesterday, there was a 97.9 per cent rise in the volume of securities traded at the bourse with investors exchanging 22.8 million units compared with the 11.5 million units transacted by market participants in the preceding session.
Equally, there was a 5.1 per cent jump in the value of shares traded during the session to N82.7 million from the N78.7 million achieved on Monday, as the number of deals slacked by 46.4 per cent to 15 deals from the 28 deals executed in the previous trading session.
UBN Property Plc closed as the most traded stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.7 billion units valued at N2.2 billion, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc was in second place with 1.2 billion units sold for N22.4 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc stood in third place with 812.1 units worth N1.6 billion.
CSCS Plc closed the day as the most traded stock by value (year-to-date) with 1.2 billion units sold for N22.4 billion, followed by VFD Group with its 26.6 million units worth N5.9 billion, and Aradel Holdings Plc with 7.8 million units valued at N3.2 billion.
