Nigerian Exchange Lists Two New Futures Contracts

Two new futures contracts were on Monday listed on the trading platform of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

This occurred amid an improvement in market turnover yesterday by 135 per cent, driving the value of the exchange higher by N9.34 billion.

Business Post reports that the new futures contracts brought to the platform for trading were the NGX30 and NGX PENSION indices expiring on June 16, 2023.

“Trading license holders and investing public are hereby notified of the listing of NGX30 INDEX and NGX PENSION INDEX Futures Contracts (expiring June 16, 2023,) on Nigerian Exchange Limited today, December 12, 2022,” a statement issued by the Head of Listings and Regulations Department of NGX Regulation Limited, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, stated.

The NGX30 Index contract with the symbol NGX30M3 and ISIN code NGNGX20INM36 was listed at a price of N1,836.25 per unit while the NGX Pension Index contract with the symbol NGXPENSIONM3 and ISIN code NGNGXPEINM37 was listed at a price of N1,782 per unit.
