The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 6.62 per cent appreciation on Monday, September 30 after six stocks on the platform closed in green.

Aradel Holdings Plc, after resuming trading activities following its suspension some days ago, gained N47 yesterday to end at N516.95 per share compared with its last trading value of N469.95 per share.

Further, Nicpo Plc improved its value by N8.06 to close at N88.63 per unit compared with last Friday’s price of N80.57 per unit, and Afriland Properties Plc appreciated by N1.47 to end the session at N16.18 per share versus the preceding closing rate of N14.71 per share.

In addition, Okitipupa Plc expanded its value by N1.03 to N11.33 per unit from N10.30 per unit, Geo-Fluids Plc increased by 27 Kobo to sell at N3.02 per share versus N2.75 per share, and NASD Plc improved by 1 Kobo to N15.50 per unit from N15.49 per unit.

On the flip side, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc went down by N3.57 to N44.00 per share from the preceding session’s N47.57 per share.

At the close of business, the value of the unlisted securities market went up by N201.21 billion to N3.259 trillion from N3.058 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) chalked up 147.54 points to wrap the session at 2,376.02 points compared with 2,228.48 points recorded at the previous session.

The volume of securities traded yesterday went down by 95.3 per cent to 21.9 million units from 469.2 million units, the value of transactions declined by 51.9 per cent to N1.5 billion from N3.2 billion, while the number of deals increased by 137.50 per cent to 114 deals from 48 deals.

Aradel Holdings Plc remained the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 14.2 million units worth N46.1 billion, Okitipupa Plc came next with 750.9 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc was in third with 295.7 million units sold for N5.3 billion.

Geo-Fluids Plc closed the day as the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 944.8 million units sold for N2.6 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 750.9 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 295.7 million units worth N5.3 million.
