In his quest to grow the economy of Edo State and bring more development to the state, the Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has expressed his readiness to work closely with the Federal Government to make these come true.
Mr Obaseki, during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Mr Udoma Udo Udoma, on Thursday in Abuja, noted that he would do anything to bring more development to his state.
He described the Ministry as a bastion of all they have come to seek in terms of developing Edo State like knowledge, information and strategy.
The Governor said his victory was an opportunity to sustain and consolidate on the development that has been going on in Edo State for eight years, adding that he would scale up effort to do more for the state.
According to him, he and his team are very clear in their determination in making Edo State a laboratory of new emergence of governance in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Mr Udoma described his guest as committed to development and also someone ready to hit the ground running in providing good governance to Edo State.
“I believe this is your first official visit to any federal ministry. I am happy you have chosen this ministry as your first ministry to pay a visit. It shows your commitment to development. The ministry has mandate on development issues. It also shows that you will hit the ground running in providing good governance to your people.”
The Minister said he was particularly pleased to welcome Mr Obaseki to the ministry and also added that the governor would do well in office.
