Oluyemi Rejected as Unity Kapital Assurance MD/CEO

Mr Patrick Olatunji Oluyemi has been rejected as the substantive Managing Director/CEO of Unity Kapital Assurance Plc.

Report reaching us stated that Mr Oluyemi’s appointment was rejected by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

Though the agency did not give the major reason for rejecting Mr Oluyemi, it advised Unity Kapital Assurance Plc to bring forward another person.

“After reviewing the documents at our disposal and following the report of the due diligence conducted on the proposed MD/CEO, the Commission is unable to confirm the appointment of Mr Patrick Olatunji Oluyemi as Managing Director/CEO of Unity Kapital Assurance Plc,” NAICOM stated in a letter with reference number NAICOM/TD/A&P/RIC-022/558.

The letter was addressed to the Chairman, Unity Kapital Assurance Plc, titled Re: confirmation of Mr Patrick Olatunji Oluyemi as MD/CEO of Unity Kapital Assurance Plc and was dated March 20, 2017 and signed by Mr Pius T. Agboola, the Director, Authorization & Policy, on behalf of the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Mohammed Kari.
