OTC Securities Exchange Tumbles 1.21%

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange fell by 1.21 per cent on Wednesday, October 29, with the market capitalisation losing N26.30 billion to close at N2.149 trillion compared with the previous day’s N2.175 trillion.
In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went down by 43.97 points to settle at 3,592.37 points, in contrast to the 3,636.34 points it ended on Tuesday.
Yesterday, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc lost N4.70 to close at N42.30 per share versus the preceding day’s N47.00 per share and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc decreased by N2.56 to end at N50.44 per unit versus N53.00 per unit.
On the flip side, NASD Plc appreciated by N1.93 to N44.37 per share from N42.44 per share, Air Liquide Plc improved its value by 92 Kobo to trade at N10.11 per unit compared with Tuesday’s price of N9.19 per unit, and Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc added 28 Kobo to finish at N3.17 per share versus N2.89 per share.
During the session, the volume of securities traded by investors increased by 4.9 per cent to 1.99 billion units from the previous 1.9 billion units, the value of securities rose by 5.3 per cent to N5.7 billion from N5.4 billion, and the number of deals jumped by 42.9 per cent to 40 deals from 28 deals.
At the close of business, Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit) Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis of 5.8 billion units worth N16.4 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 170.3 million units transacted for N8.0 billion, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.4 million units sold for N4.2 billion.
InfraCredit Plc was also the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units worth N16.4 billion, followed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units traded for N419.7 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units sold for N524.8 million.
