OTC Stock Market Shells 0.31% as Geo-Fluids, 11 Plc Shares Dip

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.31 per cent depreciation on Friday, October 13, caused by the N8.77 loss posted by 11 Plc and the 6 Kobo decline suffered by Geo-Fluids Plc.

During the trading session, the share price of 11 Plc ended at N135.63 per unit compared with the previous day’s N144.40 per unit, while Geo-Fluids Plc finished at N2.80 per share versus Thursday’s N2.74 per share.

As a result, the market capitalisation of the bourse went down by N3.42 billion to close at N1.107 trillion, in contrast to the preceding day’s value of N1.110 trillion, as the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) decreased by 2.52 points to wrap the session at 816.41 points compared with the 818.93 points recorded at the previous session.

Yesterday, the volume of securities traded at the closing session of the week increased by 185.4 per cent to 1.1 million units from the preceding day’s 339,426 units of securities traded at the preceding session, but the value of transactions slumped by 19.1 per cent to N5.4 million from N6.7 million, and the number of deals depleted by 14.3 per cent to 12 deals from the 14 deals achieved a day earlier.

At the close of business, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc finished as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 1.2 billion units valued at N22.2 billion, UBN Property Plc was in second place with the sale of 951.8 million units worth N949.4 million and Geo-Fluids Plc stood in third place with a turnover of 669.3 units worth N1.2 billion.

Also, CSCS Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 1.2 billion units valued at N22.2 billion, VFD Group maintained the second spot with 26.6 million units worth N5.9 billion, and Aradel Holdings Plc was in third place with a turnover of 6.7 million units valued at N2.5 billion.
