Phillip Akinola Retires from Forte Oil

Deacon Phillip Akinola has retired from the board of one of the leading oil and gas firms in Nigeria, Forte Oil.

However, a statement signed by the Forte Oil Secretary, Mr Akinleye Olagbende, did not state the reason for Mr Akinola’s retirement.

But the company expressed its “profound gratitude to Deacon Akinola for his services to the Board and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

While at Forte Oil Plc, Deacon Akinola served as one of the non-executive directors of the reputable company.

Deacon Akinola had served as Non-Executive Director of Forte Oil Plc since December 29, 2010. He holds a B. Sc. in Sociology and Anthropology (1987), M. Sc. Industrial Sociology (1989).

He has garnered over 22 years’ experience in Human Resources Operations, Consulting and Management.

His working experiences included stints as Management Consultant, Agrovog (1992 – 1994), Principal Consultant, Management Plus (1994 – 1997), and Manager, Personnel /Admin., Golden Gate Ventures and Trusts Limited.

He also worked as Manager, Human Resources Development at SCG Consulting from 1997 – 1999 and Human Resources Manager, Parker Drilling Nig. Limited (1999 – 2001).
