Shareholders of Presco Plc will soon receive reward for their investment in the company, information revealed by the firm has indicated.

This week, the board announced that it was proposing to pay a cash dividend of N2 per share to shareholders of the company for reposing their confidence on the firm.

According to the company, this proposed final dividend is for the financial year, which ended on December 31, 2018.

However, the cash payment is subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval of the shareholders during the Annual General Meeting slated for Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at the Dura Club, Edo State.

Presco said register of shareholders will be closed from Monday, July 8, 2019 to Wednesday, July 10, 2019, while the qualification date is July 5, 2019.

On Monday, July 29, 2019, the cash dividends would be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the register of members as at Friday, July 5, 2019.

It was further stressed that only shareholders who have completed the e-dividend registration and have mandated the registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts will receive the cash reward.

As a result of this, Presco has advised its shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration to do so by downloading the E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form on the website of its registrar, First Registrars and Investor Services Limited.
