Regency Alliance Lists N3.5bn Shares from Private Placement on NGX

The N3.5 billion worth of shares of Regency Alliance Insurance Plc sold to investors through a N7.0 billion private placement have been listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

The insurer had planned to raise about N7 billion from the exercise, but got half of the value from investors.

A total of 7,368,421,052 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo priced at 95 Kobo per unit were offered during the exercise, but only 3,684,210,525 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo were taken.

On Monday, September 28, 2026, the underwriting firm brought the 3,684,210,525 ordinary shares arising from the private placement to the stock exchange for listing to rank pari passu with existing shares.

After the listing, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Regency Alliance Insurance moved from 18,679,385,062 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each to 22,363,595,587 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.

“Trading licence holders and the investing public are hereby notified that an additional 3,684,210,525 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each of Regency Alliance Insurance Plc were on Monday, September 28, 2026, listed on the daily official list of Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

“The additional shares listed on NGX arose from the company’s private placement of 7,368,421,052 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at 95 Kobo per share.

“With the listing of the additional shares, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Regency Alliance Insurance Plc has now increased from 18,679,385,062 to 22,363,595,587 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each,” a notice signed by the Head of the Issuer Regulation Department of the NGX Regulation Limited, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, stated.
