Unilever Nigeria Lists Additional 1.96b Ordinary Shares on NSE

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced listing additional ordinary shares of Unilever Nigeria Plc on its platform.

This information was made known by the NSE in a circular marked NSE/LARD/LRD/MB06/17/11/16 and dated Thursday, November 16, 2017.

In the noticed signed by the Head of Listings Regulation Department at the stock market regulator, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, it was said that the firm was listing additional 1,961,709,167 ordinary shares to its 3,783,296,250 ordinary shares trading on the floor of the exchange.

The circular by the NSE explained that the additional shares came from the rights issue exercise carried out by Unilever Nigeria recently.

With this latest development, the total number of shares of Unilever Nigeria has now increased to 5,745,005,417 ordinary shares.

“Dealing Members are hereby notified that 1,961,709,167 ordinary shares of Unilever Nigeria Plc were today, November 16, 2017 listed on the Daily Official List of The Exchange.

“The additional shares arose from Unilever’s Rights Issue of 1,961,709,167 ordinary shares of 50 kobo at N30.00 per share in the Ratio of 14:27 ordinary shares held as at 28 June 2017.

“With this listing of 1,961,709,167 ordinary shares, the total issued and fully paid up shares of Unilever Nigeria Plc has now increased from 3,783,296,250 to 5,745,005,417 ordinary shares,” the circular read.
