The managements of United Capital Plc and Africa Prudential Plc have informed the investing community, especially their shareholders, that their respective Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place today, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 virtually.
United Capital, in a message yesterday, stated that its shareholders’ gathering will hold on the popular online meetings platform called Zoom.
It stated that the virtual meeting will commence by 11am and shareholders would have the opportunity to join the discussions via their devices.
“We write to formally notify the investing public and the exchange that the 2020 Annual General Meeting of United Capital Plc scheduled to hold by proxy on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 11.00 am in line with guidelines issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission, would now be held virtually via Zoom, an online meetings platform.
“The above is in furtherance of subsequent engagements with the Corporate Affairs Commission and in compliance with the presidential order on restriction of movement in Lagos State.
“The Annual General Meeting will be streamed live. The link for the live stream is https://www.unitedcapitalplcgroup.com/media-item/2020-annual-general-meeting-livestream/ and the link will be made available on the company’s website at www.unitedcapitalplcgroup.com,” the firm said.
On its part, Africa Prudential said its meeting would be done similarly at the same time today on the same Zoom platform.
“We write to formally notify the investing public and the exchange that the 7th Annual General Meeting of Africa Prudential Plc scheduled to hold by proxy on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 11.00 am in line with guidelines issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission, would now be held virtually via Zoom, an online meetings platform.
“The above is in furtherance of subsequent engagements with the Corporate Affairs Commission and in compliance with the presidential order on restriction of movement in Lagos State.
“The Annual General Meeting will be streamed live. The link for the live stream is https://africaprudential/7th-annual-general-meeting/ and the link will be made available on the company’s website at www.africaprudential.com,” the notice said.
