Mr Polycarp Didam has been announced as the Managing Director/CEO of UnityKapital Assurance Plc.
His appointment followed the approval by the National Insurance Commission, the insurance industry regulator in Nigeria.
In a statement issued and signed by Unity Kapital’s Legal Adviser, Halima Wushishi, it was disclosed that Mr Didam is a thoroughbred insurance professional with membership of numerous esteemed professional bodies.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN); a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, (MNIM); the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (MNIMN); and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
Mr Didam is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School.
“With quality experience in public sector, life and general business marketing, insurance broking services and risk and advisory services, he brings to bear over two decades of exemplary leadership in the industry,” the statement said.
The new CEO has worked in leading companies and broking firms in the insurance industry such as Fin Insurance Company Limited and Guinea Insurance Plc, where he served with merit as MD/CEO at both organizations.
He has also served as group lead (public sector/corporate business, North) at AXA Mansard.
