Five equities recorded gains to help the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange rise by 3.78 per cent in Week 38.
At the close of the four-day trading week, the value of the unlisted securities exchange was up by N10 billion to N3.050 trillion from N2.940 trillion in Week 37.
In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) recorded an 81.17 points gain to end the week at 2,227.73 points versus 2,146.56 points in the preceding week.
Acorn Petroleum Plc went up by 10.1 per cent in the week to end at N1.20 per share against the former value of N1.09 per share, Geo-Fluids recorded a 9.9 per cent rise to close at N2.66 per unit versus the previous week’s value of N2.42 per unit, Afriland Properties Plc rose by 5.6 per cent to N17.50 per share from N16.60 per share, Aradel Holdings Plc grew by 5.6 per cent to N9,399 per unit from N8,901 per unit, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc expanded by 1.6 per cent to N48.00 per share from N47.24 per share.
On the flip side, Nipco Plc slid by 4.3 per cent to settle at N73.25 per unit versus the preceding week’s N76.51 per unit, Resourcery Plc lost 2.5 per cent to quote at 39 Kobo per share compared with Week 37’s 40 Kobo per share, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc declined by 0.8 per cent to N19.85 per unit from N20.00 per unit.
The volume of equities traded during the trading week rose by 96.9 per cent to 10.6 million units from 5.4 million units, the total value of trades in four days increased by 72.7 per cent to N2.25 billion from N1.3 billion, and the number of deals executed by investors advanced by 23.4 per cent to 316 deals from 256 deals.
Aradel Holdings Plc topped the activity chart by value despite being suspended last Thursday with N2.2 billion, Geo-Fluids Plc followed with N180 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc recorded N160 million, NASD Plc posted N110 million, and CSCS Plc posted N100 million.
By volume, Geo-Fluids Plc led with 7.2 million units, Acorn Petroleum Plc traded 1.1 million units, NASD Plc exchanged 0.696 million units, CSCS Plc transacted 0.48 million units, and UBN Property Plc reported 0.387 million units.
