The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange jumped by 1.26 per cent on Thursday, November 9, with Aradel Holdings Plc growing by N65 to settle at N715.00 per unit versus the previous day’s value of N650.00 per unit.
As a result, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 10.42 points to wrap the session at 837.66 points compared with the preceding day’s 827.24 points, and the market capitalisation of the exchange expanded by N7.06 billion to N1.136 trillion from the N1.121 trillion achieved a day earlier.
Yesterday, the volume of transacted stocks decreased by 95.3 per cent to 54,800 units from 1.2 million units, while the value of securities bought and sold went up by 44.7 per cent to N36.0 million from N24.9 million, and the number of deals rose by 44.4 per cent to 13 deals from the nine deals published at midweek.
Business Post reports that Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc ended the day as the most traded stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.2 billion units sold for N22.3 billion, UBN Property Plc occupied the second spot with 1.1 billion units valued at N1.1 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc maintained the third place with 701.9 million units worth N1.3 million.
Similarly, CSCS Plc closed the trading session as the most traded stock by value (year-to-date) with 1.2 billion units valued at N22.3 billion, the second position was retained by VFD Group with 26.6 million units worth N5.9 billion, and Aradel Plc occupied the third spot with 7.6 million units valued at N3.0 billion.
