One of the major challenges faced by retail investors in the Nigerian capital market is achieving their financial goals with the limited funds at their disposals.

In fact, some of them have had to battle with how to get the right products in the market that suits their needs; equities or debt securities.

It is because of these issues that the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is collaborating with Nigerian International Securities Limited for a webinar tagged Capital Market Investing in a Digital Age.

Business Post gathered that the event, which will take place on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 1.00pm – 2.30pm, has the strong support of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) and the Association of Securities Dealing Houses of Nigeria (ASHON).

A notice disclosed that attendance to the event is free, but with registration required in advance by clicking the link https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_rCvUOnSXTfy9YNVIfja50A

The organisers hope to provide retail investors with vital and strategic information targeted at equipping them with useful skills to effectively manage and grow financial resources at their disposal.

“The event will feature presentations from industry experts and will educate intending and existing investors on how to achieve their financial goals and objectives through capital market investment vehicles,” the organisers said.

There are different capital market products tailored for retail investors in Nigeria including mutual funds, equities, FGN savings bonds, treasury bills, which could be purchased by pooling funds together, amongst others.
