Ogun State Government has received the support of the World Bank to achieve its dreams and aspirations for the development of the gateway state.

The World Bank disclosed on Monday in Abeokuta at the office of Governor Ibikunle Amosun that it was ready to collaborate with the state in the area of rural development, agriculture, infrastructural development and education with a particular focus on skills development.

Country Director of the World Bank, Mr Rachid Bemessaoud, during the visit, said he was highly impressed with the vision and leadership style of the Mr Amosun-led government.

In his response, the Governor observed that no state or nation can do it alone without involving the private sector, adding that, “If we must get it right, we must be private sector driven.”

Mr Amosun stated that his administration was fully ready to give the needed support and partner the World Bank.
