The Federal College of Agriculture in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been shut down by the management, reports reaching us indicate.
Our correspondent gathered that the institution was put under lock and key following protest by students of the school.
It was gathered that the students alleged management of the institution of not addressing their plights.
Specifically, the students claimed that authorities of the college have failed to give them electricity as well as their log books, ID cards and white coats.
Speaking on the matter, President of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the school, Mr Dayo Adeoye, said efforts to resolve the issues amicable have failed.
“Most of our stalites have not been given their ID cards, we only enjoy electricity for three hours per day and the management has failed to make this better,” he said.
It was gathered that when the students kicked against these, the school authorities closed down the institution.
As at the time of filing this report, Business Post could not reach the school’s Provost, Dr Babajide Adelekan, for his reaction.
