Miva Open University Opens Kaduna Study Centre

A new study centre has been opened in Kaduna State by Miva Open University as part of efforts to strengthen student support and community.

The centre was launched on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, providing students in Kaduna and surrounding communities with a dedicated space to access support.

Located at Ungwan Sarki, the new facility aligns with the school’s commitment to expanding access and creating physical touchpoints for engagement throughout students’ academic journey.

The Kaduna centre joins Miva’s growing network of Study Centres across Nigeria, following the recently launched centres in Uyo, Abeokuta and Ibadan. Its establishment further expands Miva’s physical presence across the country and marks another milestone in the university’s growth.

The expansion follows Miva’s growing student population and footprint, strengthening its capacity to serve students across different parts of Nigeria while maintaining the flexibility of its online-first learning model.

“The launch of our Kaduna Study Centre is another step towards making education accessible and bringing the Miva experience closer to more students.

“We recognise that accessibility goes beyond providing an online learning platform; it is also about creating opportunities for students to connect, engage and receive the support they need. Kaduna is an important part of this journey, and we are excited to welcome our students and the wider community to take advantage of the new centre,” the Vice-Chancellor of Miva Open University, Professor Tayo Arulogun, said.

One of the students present at the ceremony, Ms Fareedah Misbakhun, a Master of Information Technology student, said at the launch that the centre would enable a more seamless study experience for her. In her words,

“As someone who loves to read outside my home, in a quiet environment, having a centre in Kaduna that provides me with such an opportunity is a very beautiful development for me,” she enthused.
