VIDEO: Ajimobi Talks Rudely to LAUTECH Students

By Modupe Gbadeyanka

A video published by Sahara Reporters has shown Oyo State Governor, Mr Abiola Ajimobi, daring students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomosho area of the state, telling them they can do nothing to him over the closure of their school for eight months now.

Mr Ajimobi was addressing the students on Monday when they staged a peaceful protest at his office.

The Governor, who spoke in the local Yoruba language at different times with English language, said the students were being disrespectful to constituted authority in the state.

He said if they wanted to go the hard way, he was ready for them and at a point, Mr Ajimobi said he was no longer going to talk to them again, telling them to go and “do your worst.”

“Was I the one that closed down your school?” Mr Ajimobi asked the protesting students.

At a point in the video, he asked security operatives to bring to him a student who dared to talk back at him.

“Is this one also a student?” the Governor asked and shook his head apparently in disbelief.
