The case against Christianity for those who don’t like its discipline is often about questions. There are tons of questions that people are convinced is enough to discredit the Christian faith – if they cannot find answers that don’t satisfy.
Yes, there are questions, but how about considering the limitations of humans, when thinking that all that is possible is all the capacity available?
There is no point when all that is known is made available by the memory. There is no point where all that can be seen is possible by sight. There is not point where all that can be heard is made possible by the ears, same with all thoughts possible not available to the mind at any time.
As a fact, individuals or groups always say they have no idea what to do in a complex situation. They don’t have – is the emphasis. Some say impossible, but at that point, there is no idea.
The coronavirus pandemic rages across nations, work on vaccine development, therapeutics and economic stimulus are in high gear, yet, no one is sure the ideas are the ultimate answers – mostly guesswork to see what happens.
In life, there’s great desire for what can be measured. It could be feeling, satisfaction, position, power, progress, promotion, status, reach, privilege, advantage, etc. The measurable is the centre of everything. But getting older, things that were measureable, that many did, or wanted, became foolishness – looking back.
There are warnings, often, against a life – just for gratification. Gratification is often for the moment, no matter how lengthy it seems.
Once gratification is set in motion, people often want anything that provides or promises more.
It is possible, in general, for individuals to certainly say they know what they’re doing, when it is obvious they don’t.
Sometimes, people are sure of safety, but safety is often only guaranteed in the areas they anticipate risks, but safety is not guaranteed in the unanticipated. Same way questions or logic are powerful in the perimeter of capacity, not beyond.
This is similar to self-denial. The things that are too harsh to bear in flesh become easy, for the body, in death. So avoided self-denial for anyone is only a postponement.
Some people, in hate for their lives, do harm to themselves, to satisfy their minds or other reasons, but forget that the body, ultimately, cannot be harmed – in death.
Accepting Christ is a choice. There is freedom to choose and there is freedom for questions. But, questions – just like those who want to learn – are often asked in limited capacity.
Some people seem to want the position of the Creator, with the fierce way they say they question everything, forgetting they’ve accepted the strengths and weaknesses of science, technology, economics, psychology, sociology, etc.
Many refuse Christ’s obedience on the Creator’s earth. The body is free to move, the mind is free to wander, desire is free to be primary purpose, but later on, the soul and the spirit goes their destined path, with no control by the body.
Some feel that true goodness, compassion or showing mercy is stressful, forgetting that the first benefactor of good deeds is the person doing it, as it teaches and changes.
Some people say Christ is not God. They sometimes use the words of Christ, whom through love, came to the earth – to save.
But [John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.]
[John 10:30, I and my Father are One.]
Jesus the Son, Jesus on earth, is an example for genuine Christians to look unto, as humility was made in those descriptions.
Still, anyone is free to believe whatever they choose, but Jesus is the truth.
Nowhere is any teaching of self-denial, close to what Christ taught in the scriptures.
Seeking to know more about Christ or becoming like Him – in character, is the higher calling of genuine Christians, leaving behind squabbling that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge.
If some people didn’t know about Christ and died, their judgment is determined by the Creator.
If people face tragedy, and because of that some think God does not love, no, God’s love is not measured by proportion of physical love.
Many made mistakes while they were Christians to stop asking for mercy. Mercy is the prayer that should never stop because all kinds of things come to mind, and all kinds of tests to deny Christ.
[John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.]
