Ogun State Governor, Mr Ibikunle Amosun, has extolled the loyalty of his Deputy, Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, saying her selfless service has contributed immensely to the development of the state.
Speaking during the weekly state Executive Council meeting, when cabinet members honoured her on her 57th birthday, the Governor said “history will speak of her selfless service towards engendering development of the state.”
Mr Amosun urged other members of the council to emulate her and continue to work towards the greatness and glory of the administration as well as the state.
Wife of the Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, in her tribute, noted that Mrs Onanuga had made her husband’s (Mr Amosun) task easier, adding that her loyalty to the administration has never been questioned for once.
While the Head of Service, Mr Abayomi Sobande, praised the Deputy Governor for effectiveness and performance in the rebuilding mission of the government, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, also hailed her loyalty and humility.
Her husband, Mr Biodun Onanuga appreciated the Governor for the opportunity given his wife to serve the state, assuring of her continuous support towards the success of the administration.
Responding, the Deputy Governor thanked God for preserving her life and for the privilege to serve the people of the state.
She described the Governor as a mentor and a leader who encourages her and believes in her capabilities, pledging not to let the administration and the state down.
