The editorial board of ARISE News Channel has disclosed that embattled political analyst, Mr Anthony Kila, will not appear on any of its platforms anymore.

This followed allegations that Mr Kila falsified his entire academic credentials, as published by Premium Times newspaper last week.

Mr Kila, who claimed to be a professor, was said to have falsely obtained the academic title. His first degree claims were also punctured by the online newspaper in its investigations.

Mr Kila has appeared several times on ARISE News Channel, giving his views on different topics, with his most recent appearance some days ago on the station’s flagship The Morning Show.

In a statement on Tuesday, ARISE News Channel said, “We contacted Mr Kila on October 3, 2026, with the allegations. He asked for more time to respond to the claims. He has not responded 10 days later. Instead, the allegations have gotten worse. In the circumstances, we find that his contributions to The ARISE News Channel is no longer tenable.”

“ARISE News was unaware of these allegations at the time Anthony Kila appeared on our platform, and we take matters of credibility and integrity extremely seriously.

“We have noted the findings of the Premium Times investigation, and Mr Kila will not be appearing on our networks at any time now or in the future – effective immediately,” the statement added.
