On Sunday, July 23, 2017, some Governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.
Mr Buhari has been away in London since May 2017 for a medical vacation and has not been seen by his countrymen despite calls from Nigerians for him to address them.
On May 29, he failed to speak with the citizens, but his Vice, Mr Yemi Osinbajo, who has been acting as President, did.
But on Sunday, a picture with the President having lunch with the APC Governors and leaders emerged and was shared by the Kaduna State Governor, Mr Nasir El-Rufai, who was among those at the visit.
Some days ago, the Acting President flew to London to have a private meeting with his boss, but pictures of the meeting with Mr Buhari were not share. He was believed to have spent about one hour with the President at the Abuja House in London.
The Governors at yesterday’s meeting were Mr Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Mr Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State, Mr Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and the APC National Chairman, Mr John Oyegun.
Mr Buhari reportedly spent more than an hour with the delegation and asked about developments in the country from them.
