In order to mend fences ahead of the 2023 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has held a reconciliation meeting with its aggrieved members in the Oluyole area of Ibadan, the state capital.

The meeting was held on Tuesday and it had in attendance some of the bigwigs of the party, including the lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Mrs Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, who won the ticket to run for another four-year term.

Speaking at the gathering, a former deputy chairman of the party, Mr Lekan Adeyemo, explained that the move was to reconcile, strengthen and position the party ahead of next year’s polls.

At the meeting held in his house, the party chieftain added that the reconciliation would bring together all factions to unite and remain as one family.

Also speaking, the governorship candidate of APC in Oyo State, Mr Teslim Folarin, said he has no doubt that the ongoing reconciliation move will restore the unity in the party.

On her part, Mrs Akande-Sadipe expressed optimism that APC would remain as a united family while urging all members of the party across the constituency not to give room for division.

“Reconciliation has started in Oluyole Federal Constituency, as you can see. The APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin and other stakeholders were here. We visited the leader of APC in Oluyole, Lekan Adeyemo,” she said.
