Buhari is Lifeless–Donald Trump

Image

By Dipo Olowookere

United States President, Mr Donald Trump, has allegedly likened President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria to a lifeless being.

In April 2018, Mr Trump welcomed his Nigerian counterpart to the White House, where both leaders had chats concerning both nations.

According to a report published by Financial Times, the US President allegedly informed his aides that he does not want to meet someone as “lifeless” as Mr Buhari again.

In the article titled ‘Africa looks for something new out of Trump,’ Financial Times said, “The first meeting, with Nigeria’s ailing 75-year-old Muhammadu Buhari in April, ended with the US president telling aides he never wanted to meet someone so lifeless again, according to three people familiar with the matter.”

Meanwhile, the Presidency is yet to response to this claim by Financial Times, which reported the issue on Monday.
