Dadaniya Takes Over Customs FOU Zone C as Balogun Retires

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone C in Owerri, Imo State, has witnessed a change of baton due to the retirement of Comptroller Bishir Abdullahi Balogun.

The new acting head of the unit is Mr Farouk Nadaniya, who is a Deputy Comptroller of Customs.

Mr Balogun handed over to his successor at a ceremony held last Friday at the unit’s headquarters, with the erstwhile leader thanking personnel of the agency for their unalloyed support throughout his tenure.

He charged officers to be diligent in their various areas of duty, as he mentioned numerous achievements recorded during his tenure, which he attributed to teamwork, while urging the officers of the unit to extend their unwavering support to the new acting comptroller.

In his remarks, Mr Nadaniya thanked the leadership of the NCS for the confidence reposed in him to lead the unit.

He charged officers to remain firm, professional and uncompromising in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities, and commended his predecessor for contributing to the progress of the unit.

He encouraged the patrol team leaders to remain disciplined, professional, vigilant and accountable while seeking their maximum co-operation and support on the implementation of the strategic vision of the organisation, particularly in the areas of modernisation, efficiency, compliance and improved customs procedures.
