Some dignitaries would be at the 2021 leadership colloquium and investiture of Victoria Island’s Chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI) themed Leadership Now and Then: Leading Through the JCI Creed.

The colloquium is an annual leadership event that prepares the new executives of the organisation for effective leadership delivery in the coming year and also sensitises the general public on effective leadership and governance.

A statement from the organisers disclosed that the keynote address would be delivered by the Director, Policy & Partnerships, Africa of New Globe Education, Dr Kunbi Wuraola.

She will be joined by a Nigerian media personality, Rufai Oseni; Chair, Senate Association of JCI Nigeria, Nneka Itabor; and the Group Chairman of Oxford Holdings, Dr Teni Adesanya.

President of JCI, Seye Joseph, said that the topic of the program was intentionally chosen to address leadership lacuna in the country, saying that leadership plays active roles in national development.

“We understand the roles leadership play in every facet of human existence, what it means, why we must have it, and how to effectively use it for the positive course of human growth and development,” he stated.

Mr Joseph, who is an outgoing president of the organisation, stated that the investiture section of the event will have the new executives to be sworn in at the event to take leadership baton for effective leadership delivery next year.
