Fire Razes Mandilas Building in Lagos [PHOTOS]

An inferno has gutted the popular Mandilas building on the Lagos Island of Lagos State.

Information reaching Business Post revealed that the fire started at about 1 pm on Sunday and has affected several offices and businesses at the property.

The Madras Plaza, where the Mandilas building is located, is a 10-storey property.

The cause of the fire, at the time of filing this report, was yet to be ascertained by this newspaper, though firefighters have arrived to bring the situation under control.

It was gathered that some of the shop owners had rushed down to the scene of the incident, though security officials were making efforts to control the crowd to allow the first responders to salvage the situation.
