In his continuous bid to enhance the working conditions of judicial officers in Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has donated brand new vehicles to judges in the state.

This is as the Governor assured that his administration will not relent in giving the judicial arm the necessary attention it deserves.

Performing the handover ceremony at the Government House in Umuahia, Mr Ikpeazu noted that “the judicial arm is not just an arm of the government, but one that is critical to the survival of our democracy and the good of the common, and as such, must continue to receive attention from the government.”

The State Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Kalu Ogwe, who received the vehicles from the Governor, commended him for ensuring that the working environment of the judiciary continues to receive the required attention.

He urged the Governor not to rest in his efforts to better the conditions of the judiciary in the state.

Justice Ogwe, while welcoming Mr Ikpeazu from isolation, thanked God for sparing his life.

The Governor earlier contracted the coronavirus disease and was taken to a health facility where he was treated and later tested negative for the virus.
