Some female students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Kaduna State have been abducted by some gunmen.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, multiple reports disclosed. The female students kidnapped by the terrorists are believed to be more than a dozen.

The school is located on the outskirts of Kaduna, but it is close to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), a military university based in Kaduna.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, efforts are being done to rescue the victims.

This was corroborated by Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, Mr Samuel Aruwan, who said the state government would do everything possible to ensure that the ladies regain freedom.

The Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation is located in the Mando Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

This incident is coming a few weeks after some terrorist normally called bandits raided a government secondary school in Jangebe, Zamfara State and went away with over 200 female students, who were later released.

President Muhammadu Buhari had assured Nigerians that it would be the last kidnapping of students in the country.

Recall that a few days ago, some gunmen attacked the quarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in Kaduna, also close to the NDA, and abducted a family.
