This information was contained in a notice yesterday to customers of the Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution company.

Ikeja Electric disclosed that the exercise will cause disruption in power supply, but assured that things should be back to normal “within the next couple of days,” apologising for the inconvenience caused by the upgrade.

“We crave your continued patience while we work at optimum speed to conclude the project within the next couple of days.

“Our customers in Ikeja GRA are also currently experiencing an outage due to a fault from TCN which occurred in the early hours of this morning.

“Please be assured that the teams responsible for getting a swift resolution are already working on restoring supply.

“Once again. we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and assure that supply will be restored soonest,” the notice said.
