As the local government and ward elections hold today across Ogun State, the Governor, Mr Ibikunle Amosun, has charged electorate to shun violence as well as maintain peace and order, before, during and after the exercise.

Mr Amosun, who led party faithful on a campaign tour of the three Senatorial Districts, gave this charge while addressing the crowd, who came to receive the team.

He noted that the party’s representatives at the local government levels remain the most effective channel to reach and touch the lives of the people at the grassroots, urging the electorate to troop out to exercise their rights at the polling centres.

The Governor thanked the people of the state for their continued support and assured that his government would not relent in ensuring that dividends of democracy are extended to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

He promised that no unfinished project would be abandoned by the time he hands over in 2019.

Deputy Governor, Mrs Yetunde Onanuga; Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Mr Suraj Ishola Adekunbi; state Executive Council members and party supporters accompanied Mr Amosun on tour round Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Ilaro, Sango-Ota and Ifo.
