Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Magu, has promised Nigerians to end impunity in the country.
Mr Magu gave this assurance recently while presenting a paper titled ‘This Is Our Chance’ at the Symposium organized by members of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADL) in Lagos.
The anti-graft agency boss noted that he was aware of the damage impunity has done to the country and that the Commission was doing everything possible to tackle it.
He declared that that Nigerians will no longer be held hostage by the twin evils of corruption and impunity.
Mr Magu maintained that the Commission under his watch would challenge anyone, including certain senior lawyers, judges and other judicial officers, against whom concrete evidence for perverting the course of justice had been established.
He called for cooperation from Nigerians in the fight against corruption in the country.
