Lagos Hosts 65th BON General Assembly

The General Assembly of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) will take place in Lagos State this week.

A statement issued by the General Manager, Lagos Television (LTV), Mr Deji Balogun, confirmed that Lagos will host the two-day event.

Mr Balogun stated that the 65th General Assembly/Annual General Meeting of organisation will commence on Monday, August 22, 2016.

According to him, on Monday, an international summit will hold at De Renaissance Hotel, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja by 9am.

On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at the same venue by 9am, an AGM of BON will take place.

Important personalities expected at the occasion are the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who is the Special Guest of Honour; the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, who is the Chief Host; and other big players in the broadcast media in Nigeria.

CBN Vows to Prosecute AbokiFX Founder, Oniwinde Adedotun

Nigeria Changes Fixed-Lines Numbering Format

By Adedapo Adesanya The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) changed the numbering format for fixed lines from January 1 next year. The agency said the fixed-lines numbering format will no longer be eight digits but would be 10 digits, with the addition of the 02 prefix before the existing fixed number. Nigeria Rakes N193.59bn from Solid Minerals in 2021
