The deceased, Adewura Lateefat Bello, was declared missing some days ago while returning from work to her residence around Gowon Estate in the Egbeda, Alimosho area of Lagos State.

According to the social media posts released after she was declared missing, her last contact with a relative was around Cement Bus Stop area of the state along the popular Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway.

In a post today, it was disclosed that the body of Adewura was later found in a canal after frantic search and announcement on television.

Business Post gathered that Adewura must have been killed by flood.

It was said that after she dropped at Egbeda Bus Stop on the fateful day she went missing, she boarded a motorcycle home, which allegedly plunged into a manhole filled with flood near where her remains were discovered.

It was said that she was swept away by the flood and could not make it alive.

When she was declared missing, some had thought she could have been a victim of kidnappers or ritualists, which have become rampant lately in some parts of the country.
