In a move to help solve water issues in one of its host communities, NASCON Allied Industries Plc has donated a borehole to the Alayabiagba community in Ajegunle under the Ajeromi Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State.
The facility was given to the Lagos community by the subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited a few days ago as part of its social investment initiatives.
At the commissioning of the project, the Managing Director of NASCON Allied Industries, Mr Thabo Mabe, said the company was happy to solve one of the problems the community was facing, assuring that the organisation would always help in any way it could.
In his remarks, the Baale of Alayabiagba town, Mr Adeshina Ojora, expressed his gratitude and his people to NASCON for the donation.
He urged other organisations to emulate NASCON, which he described as a friend of the community.
Also, the Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, Mr Fatai Ayoola, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Mr Kudus Nurudeen, heaped praises on NASCON and its chairman, Mr Aliko Dangote, for always being on the side of the people through his various support programmes.
