New Militant Group Bombs Oil Facility In Delta

A new militant group, which threatened to blow up oil installations in the Niger Delta region of the country few days ago, has carried out its threat.

On Tuesday, the new group, Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM), vowed to bomb oil facilities in the region within the next 48 hours.

According to reports, the militant group blew up oil installations in Delta State on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

It reportedly bombed a major trunk line operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company in Isoko, which feeds Eriemu Manifold, SaharaReporters reports.

NDGJM claimed responsibility for the attack saying it was part of the group’s demolition of oil facilities tagged ‘Operation Zero.’
