The group chief executive of Airtel Africa Plc, Mr Segun Ogunsanya, has been invited to be the keynote speaker of the 2023 April edition of the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) Sharing Experience Series.
According to the organisers, the event is expected to be a veritable platform for established professionals to share their knowledge and expertise in the fields of entrepreneurship and professional careers driven by passion, audacity and innovation, which individuals learn from.
The latest NBCC Sharing Experience Series will take place on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the NBCC headquarters on Olubunmi Owa Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
It would be hosted by the President and Chairman of the Council of the NBCC, Bisi Adeyemi, and moderated by the chief executive of HerVest, Solape Akinpelu.
As expected, Mr Ogunsanya will share his vast experience in the business world as well as the boardroom.
The Airtel Africa chief currently oversees the telecommunications service provider’s operations in 14 African countries. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director and CEO of Airtel Nigeria, Airtel’s largest operating market in Africa.
He has more than 25 years of business management experience in banking, consumer goods, and telecoms. Before joining Airtel in 2012, he held leadership roles at Coca-Cola in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya (as MD and CEO).
Mr Ogunsanya was one time the Managing Director of the Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd (Coca-Cola Hellenic owned) and the Group Head of Retail Banking Operations at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), covering 28 countries in Africa. He is an Electronics Engineer and also a chartered accountant.
