Onafowote Tasks Civil Servants On Team Work

The Acting General Manager, Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Mr Fatai Idowu Onafowote has tasked civil servants in the State Public Service on the need to build team work in the course of carrying out their duties.

Mr Onafowote gave the charge while declaring open a workshop on Procurement Processing organised by the Agency for some staff of Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency and Ministry of Science & Technology at LSDPC in Ilupeju.

According to him, “When a team works well together, they will be able to accomplish more than what an individual member can do alone. Working as a team creates higher quality outcomes that are more efficient, thoughtful, effective, as well as faster.”

He commended the management of LSDPC for choosing the participants from different departments in the Corporation, stressing that everyone needs to know what procurement is all about.

He therefore enjoined the participants to pay more attention to the lectures in order to empower themselves for the task ahead.

Earlier, the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of LSDPC, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, represented by the Director of Finance of the Corporation, Mr Biodun Muritala welcomed everyone to the training and assured them of an enriched and enlightening session.

He urged participants to use the opportunity to learn more about procurement processes and procedures during the workshop which is holding between Monday 8 and Friday 19 August, 2016.

Participants will be exposed to Public Procurement fundamentals, Procurement Methods, the enactment of Procurement Law, functions of Lagos State Public Procurement Agency as well practical aspects of procurement among others.
