Baruwa Gas Station explosion

Another gas explosion has occurred in Lagos, about two few weeks after a similar incident happened in the commercial capital of Nigeria.

This time, according to reports, the inferno occurred at the gas station located at Baruwa in Ipaja under Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that the explosion started at about 5:45am on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Best Roof Cooking Gas and the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, four persons lost their lives.

“Unfortunately, four mortalities were recorded and several others injured,” the LASEMA chief stated.

The cause of the explosion, Mr Oke-Osanyintolu, could not be ascertained, but security officials, as well as men of the Lagos Fire Service and LASEMA, were seen at the scene of the fire.
