The newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Uche Secondus, has been congratulated by the PDP Prayer Network.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Chukwu, the group said it has accepted Mr Secondus’ emergence as the new leader of the opposition party and urged those who contested for the position with him to gladly accept defeat and allow the party to consolidate ahead of the 2019 general elections.
PDP Prayer Network, while charging the new Chairman to carry everyone along irrespective what had transpired, emphasised that it was ready to assist Mr Secondus restore the lost glory of the party.
Mr Chukwu described the PDP Chairman as the right man for the job because; his past activities did not only inspire confidence, but also proved that he is a committed party man who is ready to take bullet for the party at any time.
The National Coordinator, who described the election as free and fair, called on those who left the party to come back home, saying PDP was now poised to capture power at the centre in 2019.
