A pastor with the Christ Liberty Evangelism, Mr Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, has been apprehended with a human skull in the Saje Area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
The cleric was arrested along with three others; a 30-year-old Ibrahim Agbowewe, a 40-year-old Suleiman Ogunbunmi, and a 57-year-old Gafari Akinsanya.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Omolola Odutola, a Superintendent of Police (SP), disclosed that the suspects were picked up by operatives of the agency.
According to her, the arrest was made by the police in the early hours of Saturday after receiving information about suspicious activities taking place in the area.
Upon investigation, the authorities discovered the human skull in the pastor’s possession, which was to be allegedly used for rituals.
It was disclosed that the items found on the suspects included one big calabash, one black Toyota Camry car and one ram. These items have been taken to the police station.
Also, the accused persons have been taken into custody for further interrogation, and law enforcement officials are continuing their investigations, with the view of prosecuting them in court.
“We arrested the four of them. They have since confessed that they wanted to use the head for blessings and money rituals.
“The investigations are ongoing to unravel more details about the incident,” the police image-maker stated.
