President of Chocolate City Group, Mr Audu Maikori, has been released by police in Abuja about 24 hours after he was arrested.
Mr Maikori was apprehended in Lagos on Friday, but transferred to the Force headquarters in Abuja for questioning.
He was nabbed over his comments on social media on the Southern Kaduna crisis that has led to the death of some persons.
His arrest sparked harsh criticisms against the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
As at the time of filing this report, it is not certain if Mr Maikori is on his way to Lagos.
But Chocolate City’s Chief Operations Officer, Mr Paul Okeugo, confirmed the release of the music label executive and lawyer.
“Audu [has been] released and unharmed,” Mr Okeugo said.
