Residents of communities in Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State could not hide their excitement when the lawmaker representing them at the National Assembly donated 12 transformers to them.

The facilities were given to the communities by a member of the House of Representatives, Mrs Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, to illuminate the area and boost security.

The 300KVA transformers were donated by the top female politician barely a month after she facilitated an empowerment program for 200 women and youths in intensive training on Cosmetology.

Also nearly a month ago, she donated several boreholes with water treatment plants and completed the construction of three schools in the constituency communities.

The current 12 beneficiary communities of the transformers were Lafiku Village, Irepodun Abbey Technical, Idi Ishin Community, Egbeda Tuba Community, Ifelodun Community, Crin Odo Ona Community, Alaagba One Village, Orelope Isale Alfa, Papa Eleye, Sanyo Agbamu Community, Ori Apata Estate, and Adewolo Community.

According to her Special Assistant on Media, Mr Olamilekan Olusada, the lawmaker was reported to have assured the residents in her constituency of continued representation that would bring more benefits to them.

“Prior to the 2019 elections, I took my campaign to different communities in my constituency in the quest to dialogue, exchange ideas on their expectations, and understand their needs.

“It was important for me to have a better understanding of the gaps I needed to fill and collect first-hand data from the people of Oluyole,” she said.

Mrs Akande-Sadipe noted that the transformers were given because they remain a key need in the communities, assuring members of her constituency that despite the challenges, she was committed to ensuring that more requests will be fulfilled and Oluyole Federal Constituency would experience rapid development.

The community leaders took turns to express their deep appreciation for the kind gesture of the lawmaker, promising to ensure proper watch on the transformers.
