A new hub designed to accompany Christians during the Lenten season, a time when many slow down to repent and focus on developing their spiritual relationship with God, has been unveiled by Spotify.

Known as Lent Destination, this platform has carefully curated worship playlists and Christian podcasts that make it easier for users to discover uplifting spiritual content during this period of reflection and spiritual growth.

The Lent Destination comes at a time when African Christian and Gospel worship leaders are experiencing exponential growth on Spotify.

The featured worship playlists consists of some worship songs from Nigeria, a collection of uplifting songs focused on praising God, contemporary worship music designed for personal devotion, the latest releases from leading worship artists, and some rich gospel tradition from South Africa.

As for the sermon content, it allows users to access sermons from top-ranking pastors, including Apostle Femi Lazarus, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen and others, providing spiritual guidance throughout the Lenten period.

The Christian lifestyle podcasts features empowering Christian lifestyle podcasts offering practical advice on various topics, including content from popular podcasters Mpoomy Ledwaba, Megan Edwards, and many more.

The Spotify Lent Destination is available globally starting today and will remain accessible throughout the Lenten season. Users can access the destination directly through the Spotify app or by visiting Spotify Lent Destination.

While commenting on this initiative, Spotify’s Christian and Gospel Specialist for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr James Propa, said, “The Lenten season represents a significant time of spiritual focus for millions of Christians around the world.

“We’ve created this destination to support listeners on their spiritual journey by making it easier to discover meaningful worship music and insightful Christian content that resonates with this season of reflection.”

“We’re proud to create a dedicated space that celebrates these talented artists while helping our users discover new worship music that can enrich their spiritual practice during Lent,” he added.
