The Supreme Court of Nigeria has fixed Thursday, October 26, 2023, for the delivery of judgment on the appeals filed by Mr Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) over the upholding of the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
After the exercise held on Saturday, February 25, Mr Abubakar and Mr Obi approached the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to upturn the victory of Mr Tinubu.
However, they lost at the Appeal Court and further moved to the apex court, which informed the parties that it would decide the fate of the trio.
Recall that on October 23, 2023, a seven-member panel of the Supreme Court Justices, led by Justice Inyang Okoro, reserved judgment after parties in the appeal adopted their briefs of arguments.
